Frequently Asked Questions
How do I add photos to a collage?
Tap any empty slot on the canvas. A picker sheet appears with three options: Gallery (your device photo library), Camera (take a new photo right now), and Files (browse your file system for any image file).
You can also select multiple photos from the Gallery at once — they fill empty slots in order from left to right. If all slots are already filled, you will be prompted to choose which slot to replace.
What file formats can I export?
CollaGO supports three export formats:
JPEG – best for sharing; comes with a quality slider
(50–100) so you can balance file size and image quality.
PNG – lossless, larger file, ideal for printing.
WebP – modern format with excellent compression and quality.
Set your preferred format in Settings, or change it before each individual export. Paper size, orientation, and print quality are also configurable there.
Where are my projects and exports saved?
Both are saved to the App's private Documents folder on your device:
Projects (.cscollage files) store the full
collage state so you can reopen and continue editing later.
Exports (JPEG, PNG, or WebP images) are saved with a
timestamp-based filename.
You can manage both from the Saved Gallery screen (the gallery icon in the top toolbar).
Can I use the app offline?
Yes — 100% offline. CollaGO never connects to the internet at any point. There are no ads to load, no analytics to send, and no account server to authenticate against. Everything happens entirely on your device.
Does the app access my photos without permission?
No. CollaGO requests photo library access only at the moment you tap a slot and choose Gallery. You can deny the permission and still use the camera or file picker instead.
You can revoke photo or camera access at any time in your device's Settings → Privacy & Security. See our Privacy Policy for full details.
How do I switch templates without losing my images?
Tap the Templates tab and select a new layout. If your collage already has photos, a dialog appears with three choices:
Keep Images – photos are re-mapped to the new slots
in order; useful when changing between similarly sized layouts.
New Collage – starts fresh with the new template and
no images.
Cancel – stays on the current template, nothing
changes.
What are shaped slots?
Shaped slots clip your photos into non-rectangular outlines directly on the canvas. CollaGO supports several shapes: rectangle, circle, diamond, star, heart, and teardrop.
The shape is baked into the exported image, so the finished collage looks exactly as shown — no editing app needed afterward. You can assign different shapes to different slots within the same layout using the custom template editor.
How do I print a collage?
Tap the Print button (printer icon) in the top toolbar. CollaGO renders the collage at the selected print quality (Draft, Normal, or High) and opens your device's native print dialog. From there you can choose any AirPrint-compatible printer.
For best print results, set the paper size in Settings to match your physical paper (A4, A5, 4×6, or Letter) before printing, and use High print quality.
What is the custom template editor?
The custom template editor lets you design your own collage layouts from scratch, without being limited to the 43 built-in templates.
You can: add and delete slots, drag them to any position on the canvas, resize with corner handles, rotate with the rotation handle or a two-finger pinch, assign any of the available shapes to each slot, and designate one slot as a full-canvas background layer. You can also set the canvas aspect ratio (1:1, 4:3, 3:2, 16:9, and more) and manage slot depth order.
Once saved, your custom template appears in the Templates tab alongside the built-in layouts and can be edited, duplicated, or deleted at any time.
